Gloria Purcell Dubberly is the Probate Judge of Tattnall County. Judge Dubberly has held the Office of Judge of the Probate Court since January 2005.

HIstory of Tattnall County

Located in the Lower Coastal Plain of southeast Georgia, Tattnall County is the state's twenty-fifth county and comprises 484 square miles. It was created in 1801 from Montgomery County and named for Governor Josiah Tattnall, a Savannah native who had once served as brigadier general in the state militia. In later years other counties were formed from parts of Tattnall County: Toombs County (1905), Candler County (July 1914), and Evans County (August 1914).

OUR STAFF

Employees of the Probate Court include Janet L. Allen, Associate Judge; Delores Williams, Clerk and Sandy Simmons, Clerk. These employees are dedicated and faithful.

Our mission statement and goals are: To always be mindful of the taxpayer’s support of this office, be good stewards of the County’s property, give the County full service for compensation received, give the users of this office the benefit of friendliness, team spirit, respect and compassion and to respond to every request in a timely and efficient manner.
